Sound Meditation technique to hear the soundlessness

Sound meditation is the art of hearing just listening doing nothing. This technique can be done in different ways but the essence of all sound meditation techniques is to develop the art of hearing with mindfulness and the awareness to hear the soundlessness.

The sound meditation technique is a very subtle science. You have to train your ear and mind feel attunement with the sound. Forget everything else. Become the sound. You have to feel harmonious with sound.

This technique can be done anywhere. Sounds are everywhere the whole universe is full of sound anywhere you will go sounds are there you may be in crowded place or in caves of  Hills when you feel that it is a very peaceful place no noise to disturb there is also the sound with the low-frequency low volume you feel harmonious with it. That is why you feel good when you listen to music because music is harmonious sounds. Indian classical music consists of so many Ragas. There are different ragas for every step of time. Ragas developed for meditation. You feel calm if a sound is musical, harmonious so in Yoga have made many experiments with sound and music to develop so many meditation techniques based on sound and music.

There are two stages of  30 minutes each-

Sound Meditation technique to hear the soundlessness

Sit in comfortable posture, cross your legs, close your eyes . Your back and neck should be in straight position and no strain in any part of the body .You have just to listen to the sounds all around yourself . Listening to the voice of birds , sound of vehicles passing on the roads , the wind passing through the trees or some musical sounds , just hearing with full mindfulness with full awareness and not start thinking about sounds , just listening , doing nothing and after few weeks of practising it you will feel that you are becoming more peaceful and great peace starts falling on you and you are becoming fresher energetic and joyous and you will hear the soundlessness.

Try to hear the sounds within yourself –

Now you have to focus your awareness towards within yourself with soundlessness you have to move within yourself now you have to try to listen to the sounds of your breath and be aware of breath in and out do it for 10 minutes and that become fully dumb and deaf and suddenly you will find that you are aware of yourself now you will feel soundlessness and there are no thought no sound that is the state of super consciousness . Now you can hear your inner music that is called anhad naad the true music the music of God.

Regular practice of sound meditation heals your mind and body heals the flowing of energy among all chakras of the body and your body works in a harmonious way. you will feel more energetic more peaceful and joyous and you can overcome over many mental disorders like anxiety insomnia and can live a more successful life

Trataka Meditation technique for mind power and peace

Trataka is gazing at a candle flame, mirror or picture without blinking the eyelids with mindfulness.There should not be passing a single thought in your mind there should be the full concentration of mind at the object of Trataka Meditation.

Trataka is one of the six techniques of Hath yoga.There are six cleansing techniques in Hath yoga pradipika these are following six techniques

1.Dhauti

2.Vasti

3.Neti

4.Neuli

5.Trataka

6.Kapalbhati

First, four techniques related to cleansing the body.These yoga practices remove various impurities from different parts of our body and develop physical strength and healing power in our body and make our body resistant to any infection or disease.

Trataka and kapalbhati is related to cleansing the mind.Trataka develop a concentration of mind and makes our mind thoughtless when you will attain the state of thoughtless then special mind power will generate within yourself and you will feel eternal peace joy and happiness.

Candle flame Trataka Meditation technique

Sit in a comfortable posture it may be sukhasana half Lotus or full Lotus asana cross your legs and place on each other your back and neck should be in straight and in a relaxed position. Now light a candle and place it about 3 feet away from your eyes in front of you. Start gazing at candle flame without blinking your eyelids with full Mindfulness.

There is the presence of mind is the main part of Trataka you have to cease all your mental distractions thoughts and feelings. When you start gazing without blinking your eyelids mind stopped thinking and after some time of practice, you will realize that there is no thought at your mind for some time. Your mind has become thoughtless. Do it regularly and gradually increase the duration of practice in starting you will feel some irritation in your eyes and water in your eyes then close your eyes for few minutes and start again. After few weeks of practice you will be able to do it for about 30 minutes but if you feel severe discomfort in starting or if you have weak eyesight then don’t do it it may be harmful to you.

Practice Candle flame Trataka regularly mornings is the best time for practicing it but you can do it in evening but try to do it same time and at same place regularly

Do it with empty stomach otherwise, you can do it after 5 hrs of taken your meal. Do simple Pranayama like anulom vilom pranayama these are simple breathing exercises do it before practicing Trataka it will bring your mind.

By regular practice of Trataka practitioner develop Devine glow and will power by that he can hypnotize anyone easily and it’s practice improve the concentration and memory and a divine radiant glow will be on your face and hypnotic glow will be in your eyes anyone who will look into your eyes will come under your hypnotic power and you will attain the state of unconditional love joy peace and happiness .

Goal is the desire of mind-

When you set a goal you create a vision you create a dream you create a future a strong desire. Meditation happens when there is no future no past.Meditation happens only to those who are not result oriented.Meditation is the state when there is no goal.

Goal focus your mind power to results

When you have already set a goal than from every act you expect results.Someone said that great things happen only when you least expect them.Expectations make you restless impatient Meditation can’t happen in that state it only happens when you are in deeply relaxed state when all your inner movements cease then deep silence descends over you and you become full of love joy and happiness and that does not depend on any condition that is unconditional.

Setting of goal makes you impatience-

Men,s nature is that when he desires something now he can’t wait for he becomes impatience. Meditation is a seed after sown the seed you have to wait for sprouting the seed and come out from the earth results is not in your hand when you feel that nothing happening then something is happening internally so Meditation is a time-consuming process and having patience is necessary to succeed in Meditation.

Be consistent Be Relaxed-

Meditation is not a thing that can be added to your personality it is a transformation of yourself Meditation makes you a new, person it is a growth it is a consistent process and enjoy it totally there  are no need to be tense just relaxed in Meditation techniques  asana is not important relaxation posture  and be comfortable is must Be comfortable and relaxed is the essence of all asanas described in Patanjali yoga sutras and in Hath Yoga Pradipika.

Be playful with meditation techniques-

Most people take meditation techniques so seriously it looks as the meditation is only for the sad person and serious person who have to forget joy and happiness in your life but that is not the right way for meditation Be playful Be joyous with meditation techniques take it as you are bathing swimming and playing music.

you get up in the morning after completing your natural needs you go to church temple gurudwara and whatever your religious place and perform your God prayer it may be your daily routine or it may be occasionally.Is it the right way of prayer.It may be a ritual of your religion but it is not the right way of prayer it is the one act of your daily list of activities.

Prayer should become the voice of your heart if you are doing prayer at the level of your mind that is not the prayer. There are two types of religion some are based on prayer and some are based on meditation.If you are mind oriented extrovert nature then meditation is your way. If you are receptive introvert emotional then prayer may be your way at the journey of adhyatm.

Prayer and meditation are different things. Their movement is in different directions. Prayer is a conversation between god and you with full of love and gratitude.Meditation is deep silence there is no conversation no talking Meditation is pure science there is no god who governs you.

 

Prayer is on right way if it changes the condition of your heart if you becomes full of love and kindness then you are full of prayer then every act of your life become the prayer of god.Prayer is the conversation with the depth of your heart.

Time of prayer-

According to many religion, morning is the best time for the prayer of god. only reason behind that is that  in morning you are fresh you are full of energy but that’s not the meaning of that after morning hours you can,t  do prayer you can do prayer at any time when you are full of love gratitude  and thanksgiving then you are full of prayer then you are in prayer.

 Place for prayer-

You go to your religious place for prayer that may be helpful to go deep in prayer because peaceful surrounding and gathering of too many at a single place creates a sphere  of energy that will be helpful to you to go in prayerful state but your religious instructor have made it ritual and spreads the rumor that only at this place you can perform your prayer. You can do prayer at any place.

Words of prayer-

All religion have their own prayer words and format of their prayer is fixed you can pray that prayer but prayer should come from your depth of your heart, not from your mind you can perform prayer during that your mind may be wandering at the marketplace.When you are full of prayer then every act of your life becomes prayer.

Why are you doing prayer-

Jesus said: Seek you first the kingdom of god, then all else shall be added unto you -you have desire only for the kingdom of god then everything you will get  but you are doing just opposite of that you desire human pride things in your prayer .you wants to fulfill your desires of money power and fame you are just like a bagger in front of god as soon as you desire anything then you have closed the door of your heart towards God.You should be thankful for which God already have given focus of your prayer not be materialistic things focus of your prayer should be God then you will get everything automatically then you will receive the grace of god and your life will change you will be full of peace love kindness and happiness and everyone who will come in your contact will feel that.

Light Meditation with deep Breathing

You can do this meditation any time and it needs no posture but you have to do this at least twice in 24 hrs.You have to start early in the morning as you get out of bed is the best time for any meditation because when you are coming out of sleep you are fresh you are full of energy that is the only reason all religious prayers and rituals performed early in the morning there are very probability to go deep within yourself so the best time to start is the early morning tide just when you are at the midpoint of sleep and awake
IMAGINE LIGHT ENTERING ENTERING INTO YOUR HEAD WITH INHALING
Lie down on your back as you are lying down in your bed, keep your eyes closed.When you inhale, just imagine light entering from your head into your body and you have to feel it with full sensitivity only thought of light is not sufficient you have to feel it as within light a new energy is entering into your body with a deep breath imagine that light is entering from head and going towards feet and your whole body has become the beam of light.
IMAGINE DARKNESS IS ENTERING TROUGH YOUR FEET WITH EXHALING
When you exhaling imagine another thing darkness entering through your feet and coming up and going to the head with deep breathing you have to visualise that and you have to feel it with full sensitivity that your body has to be come the part of darkness and inhale slowly and you will found that you have gone in deep relaxed with darkness your body easily goes to deep relaxed that is the reason in night in darkness you easily go to sleep.
Repeat it inhaling with light come into your body through your head and going to the feet and it will cleanse your body and it will make it full of energy full of mind power full of joy and happiness and you will be got eternal peace with the imagination of darkness with exhaling.
Do it for minimum 20 minutes early in the morning and the second when you have time but the best time is in the night just before going to sleep.
Lie down in the bed and just be relaxed and start this meditation technique and probability is there you fall asleep doing it, that is the best it will go on your subconscious mind and there will be amazing effect of this meditation on your mind and body
