Sound Meditation technique to hear the soundlessness

Sound meditation is the art of hearing just listening doing nothing. This technique can be done in different ways but the essence of all sound meditation techniques is to develop the art of hearing with mindfulness and the awareness to hear the soundlessness.

The sound meditation technique is a very subtle science. You have to train your ear and mind feel attunement with the sound. Forget everything else. Become the sound. You have to feel harmonious with sound.

This technique can be done anywhere. Sounds are everywhere the whole universe is full of sound anywhere you will go sounds are there you may be in crowded place or in caves of  Hills when you feel that it is a very peaceful place no noise to disturb there is also the sound with the low-frequency low volume you feel harmonious with it. That is why you feel good when you listen to music because music is harmonious sounds. Indian classical music consists of so many Ragas. There are different ragas for every step of time. Ragas developed for meditation. You feel calm if a sound is musical, harmonious so in Yoga have made many experiments with sound and music to develop so many meditation techniques based on sound and music.

There are two stages of  30 minutes each-

Sound Meditation technique to hear the soundlessness

Sit in comfortable posture, cross your legs, close your eyes . Your back and neck should be in straight position and no strain in any part of the body .You have just to listen to the sounds all around yourself . Listening to the voice of birds , sound of vehicles passing on the roads , the wind passing through the trees or some musical sounds , just hearing with full mindfulness with full awareness and not start thinking about sounds , just listening , doing nothing and after few weeks of practising it you will feel that you are becoming more peaceful and great peace starts falling on you and you are becoming fresher energetic and joyous and you will hear the soundlessness.

Try to hear the sounds within yourself –

Now you have to focus your awareness towards within yourself with soundlessness you have to move within yourself now you have to try to listen to the sounds of your breath and be aware of breath in and out do it for 10 minutes and that become fully dumb and deaf and suddenly you will find that you are aware of yourself now you will feel soundlessness and there are no thought no sound that is the state of super consciousness . Now you can hear your inner music that is called anhad naad the true music the music of God.

Regular practice of sound meditation heals your mind and body heals the flowing of energy among all chakras of the body and your body works in a harmonious way. you will feel more energetic more peaceful and joyous and you can overcome over many mental disorders like anxiety insomnia and can live a more successful life

Active mindfulness meditation technique

Mindfulness is a mental state of awareness on the present moment.It is the non-judgemental awareness of experiences in the present moment.Mindfulness is the essence of Buddhist meditation techniques Vipassana meditation is one of them but this is sitting meditation here I will explore how to be mindful during daily routine of life daily routine works which we do without conscious awareness.

Active mindfulness meditation technique

                                                                                                     Our mind always wanders in past and future mind never stays in the present if you can be aware of the present moment that is the right mindfulness Buddha used word right mindfulness.

Be mindfulness during physical acts-

You wake up in the morning and go to the morning walk during that you aren’t aware of that mind is wandering elsewhere now you have to be aware Mindfulness for biggeners  you have to be watchful about your body movements and surroundings or you are doing exercises in gym you have to be watchful and aware of every activity don’t analyse just be aware of whatever is going on you have to be practice of it only when you are engaged in physical activity there are no need to be sit in meditative posture.

Be aware of your mind-

Now you have to be aware of the mental activity.First, understand what is mind? The mind is a chain of continuously arising thoughts now you have to be aware of your thoughts you have to be watchful of your thoughts your emotions when you will be present at the moment when you are here now that is the state of mindfulness. The presence of mind to be aware whatsoever is happening at the moment.It will also helpful to deal with the problems of anxiety and depression.

Be Mindfulness during God’s prayer and spiritual activities-

Be aware or be mindful when you are doing your religious activities whatever it may be you may be in church you may be in temple you may be in Gurudwara it may be any religious place that’s no matter but you have to be watchful you have to be aware about that if you can be in the state of mindfulness during that then every act become the prayer of god.

The great novelist Leo Tolstoy wrote a story, The Three hermits, On an island there lived three hermits they were so simple and the only prayer they used was we are three and pray god to maintain mercy on us. The local bishop here about the three hermits and their prayer and decided to teach them the right way of religious prayer.He arrived on the island and told the hermits that their prayer is not right and taught them a customary prayer.The bishop then left on the boat and he saw a radiant light following the boat on the sea he saw the three hermits are running upon the water waves as they reached the bishop they asked we have forgotten the prayer you t6aught us and ask to repeat.The bishop was astonished how did the three hermits walk on the water and said that no need to repeat the prayer continue with your prayer.There are so many miracle and science has yet to find answers.

Mindfulness is a state of unconditional joyous and happiness there are no place for negative emotions like and anger your mind will be full of mind power you will attain eternal peace and your body will work in perfect harmony and many diseases like hypertension and chronic pain can be cured by healing effect of mindfulness meditation,
